extra-fresh staff
- All cleaning staff usually work singularly, but we reserve the right to work in teams of two or teams of three.
- All cleaning staff are uniformed.
- All our staff are fully vetted and insured*.
- Staff will not eat, drink or smoke in your home.
About our extra-fresh Service
- Our 'deep clean' will involve the thorough top to bottom dusting, wiping, vacuuming and mopping of all rooms. Bathrooms and Kitchens will be thoroughly cleansed.
- Our 'quick clean' involves the dusting and/or wiping of horizontal surfaces and the vacuuming and/or mopping of floors.
- We can plan for designated rooms to be cleaned on a 'quick clean' basis and then at agreed intervals receive a 'thorough clean'.
- We can plan your service so that we do specific tasks. We can do all the heavy cleaning or provide a more 'housekeeping' role such as change bedding and general tidying.
- We are happy to work with you in prioritising the areas we clean, so that you get the maximum benefit from our time and services.
- We prefer to work to your list of cleaning requirements. A cleaning schedule can be downloaded from our website.
- We charge by the hour for each cleaner.
- Our minimum service period is only 2 hours. Bookings can be made for the minimum period then increased by 1 hour thereafter.
Customer Care
- We want to keep in regular contact with you in order to ensure that you get the best possible service from extra-fresh.

Security
- All our staff are vetted. We conduct our interviews for staff at their home, identity is confirmed with utility bills and passport etc. In addition, we ask for references from two previous employers.
- Uniformed staff give you peace of mind.
- We operate a fully coded key holding service.
- We are insured* to protect your home and our staff.
Our Charges
- Price Changes
All prices are subject to change. Existing customers will be given 30 days notice of any price changes. - Minimum charges - Regular Clean - £24.00 (minimum of 2 hours)
One-Off Clean - £120.00 (8 hours) - You pay on the day the service is done.
- One off payments can be made by cheque or cash, which our cleaners will collect, or if you are one of our regular customers you can set up a direct debit or standing order.
- Please note all accounts beyond our credit terms will be passed to our debt collection agency. All accounts without exception will be subject to a surcharge of 15% plus Vat to cover our costs of recovery. These accounts will also be subject to any legal costs incurred in obtaining settlement.
Your Obligations
- To provide a safe working environment for our staff, e.g. safe electrical appliances, securely fixed wardrobes, cupboards, shelves etc.
- To pay promptly for all cleaning hours provided.
- During the period of this agreement and for a period of 12 months after the termination of this agreement, the client will not employ any staff that have been employed by extra-fresh. extra-fresh reserves the right to claim any damages, loss of earnings, recruitment costs, training costs and any court costs where appropriate, subject to a minimum of £250.
- The client may not employ extra-fresh staff.
- Please ensure that access is provided. Otherwise we are obliged to charge you.
Special Circumstances
- Special requests for additional services should be made 2 days before a service day. This ensures that these can be provided and payment agreed. However, we may be able to accommodate these on the service day. Please leave a note and we will invoice you accordingly.
- If your scheduled service day falls on a public holiday, then this clean will be cancelled and you should contact us to re-arrange an alternative date.
- We will treat your home with the greatest of care. Please inform us of any items that are irreplaceable, so that we can make special arrangements for care.
Health & Safety
- In order to protect our employees, they are instructed not to enter an environment they consider to be unsafe, dangerous to health, or inoperable for any reason, but are instructed to withdraw from the premises and to report the problem. In this event the customer will be charged 100% of the cost of the Booking. If the cleaning is rescheduled (after the environment has been rendered safe), the customer will be charged a fee equivalent to 50% of the cost of the original Booking.
Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
- Where a booking constitutes a distance contract pursuant to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you will have the right to cancel the contract within 7 days of the formation of the contract, but you will not have the right to cancel the contract where the performance of the Cleaning has commenced.
Cancellations
- Please contact us, giving us at least 3 full working days notice if you do not want a particular clean or are on holiday. Cancellations for individual cleans require 3 full working days notice in order to re-schedule our team and avoid having to charge you.
- Our cancellation charges are dependent upon the notice given and are as follows;
- Customer Cancellation/Non Attendance
Cancellation of cleaning will be charged at 100% where less than 24 hours notice is given, and 50% where between 24 and 48 hours notice is given.
One-Off Clean Cancellation. For cancellations within 24hours, 100% fee will be charged. For cancellations between 24 hours and 48 hours notice, 50% will be charged. If extra-fresh domestic cleaning services is unable to gain access to the property, as a result of customer failure to make reasonable arrangements for access, extra-fresh domestic cleaning services will charge the full cancellation fee. - Should you be unable to commence your cleaning service after payment of the initial fee, this can be refunded subject to a £10 administration fee over plus any fees incurred for late cancellation.
- extra-fresh domestic cleaning services /Non Attendance. extra-fresh domestic cleaning services will not be liable for any delay to or cancellation of the services caused by circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to fire, flood, strike, exceptional traffic circumstances, lack of adequate power or breakage or failure of machinery or apparatus). In such circumstances extra-fresh domestic cleaning services will do its best to arrange an alternative time suitable to both parties for the performance of its services. Where extra-fresh domestic cleaning services fails to carry out an agreed service due to circumstances within our control, our liability shall be limited to providing the agreed service at no additional charge at a mutually convenient alternative time and in no event shall extra-fresh domestic cleaning services be liable for any other losses including loss of profit or consequential loss.
*Insurance
- We are fully insured for public liability and employer's liability.
- Our accidental damage insurance is subject to an excess of £250. We do not provide cover for accidental damage for the first £250 of any loss. Please make your own insurance arrangements for the excess.
- All our staff will endeavour to treat your home and possessions with the greatest care.

Complaints
- In the event of you being dissatisfied with the service you have received from extra-fresh domestic cleaning services, you should contact the extra-fresh domestic cleaning services office within 4 days. extra-fresh domestic cleaning services will endeavour to ensure that all your concerns and complaints are resolved quickly and amicably.
Compensation
- Damage to/ Loss of Property. In the event of damage or loss as a result of negligence, the liability of extra-fresh domestic cleaning services shall be limited (at extra-fresh domestic cleaning services discretion) to repair or the replacement cost of the item, taking into account its age and condition. extra-fresh domestic cleaning services shall not in any event be liable for any loss of profit or consequential loss.
Same Cleaning Staff
- We do endeavour to provide the same cleaning staff where appropriate or requested. However this may not always be possible due to holidays, absences, varying cleaning frequencies & other commitments.
extra-fresh will not be liable for any damage, accidents or injuries caused by third parties.
As cleaning products are supplied by you the customer, you will be responsible for any damage caused by those products. extra-fresh will not be held liable.
Data Protection Act By providing us with the information overleaf you consent to us obtaining (whether from you or from others), holding and using personal data about you in connection with the business of domestic cleaning services as specified above and overleaf for so long as may be reasonably required for our legitimate purposes.
We will use that information for communicating with you. We may also provide that information to third parties with a legitimate reason to receive it connection with your dealings (e.g. transferee of our business) with us or to such third parties as required by you or the law, whether within or outside the European Economic area.
